Colour and pattern inspiration from the 2012 Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium...amazing! Wouldn't it make an amazing printed scarf?
We absolutely love artist Cate Parr! We had the pleasure of working with Cate to produce our amazing Sojourn range of scarves.
Cate is an English born fashion illustrator and painter who currently lives in Los Angeles. She has worked with clients such as Detour Magazine, Gilly Hicks, Lulu Frost and Random House NY.
Cate says that her inspiration comes from many places, including Ealing Studios, French and Italian Cinema, couture design, along with music, photography, theatre and dance.
Cate did an incredible job of capturing the exotic destinations behind our scarves, including Shanghai, Venice and Marrakech.
This is some of her divine work...

Another talented illustrator and creative that has worked with L'avion is London based Spiros Halaris.
Spiros has featured in various publications including ELLE, Swide by D&G, and The Hub. His recent amazing collaboration was illustrating the windows of The May Fair Hotel for London Fashion Week. He also completed a placement at Alexander McQueen.
On the L'avion 'Bouquet Scarf' which Spiros illustrated, I love his mix of edgy girls, bright digital prints and the amazing graffit floral border.
Beautiful shots from Flare magazine...love the colours and prints. Great inspiration for next years new scarf designs.
L'avion loves working with talented illustrators and artists from around the world and we were lucky enough to enlist the talents of beautiful illustrator Kelly Smith. Kelly takes inspiration from fashion, films and fairytales, so she was the perfect fit to work on our divine 'Plume Scarf'. The pencil work detail that appears in this scarf is nothing short of magnificent!
Kelly also includes Vogue and Instyle magazines on her client list, as well as Net-a-porter and Portmans. She was kind enough to share some more of her work below with us...thanks Kelly x www.birdyandme.com.au
Some of our favourite street looks with scarves!
L'avion loves pets and I couldn't resist posting these adorable images of Audrey Hepburn and her baby deer from the 1959 movie Green Mansions. I think I want one in time for Christmas...!
Here are some beautiful inspiration photos from my reecent trip to Bali...I have used the colour palette as a basis for some new designs that I am working on!
The most divine open signs!
